Akiko Ryu (Japanese Translator)

Akiko is a Seattle-based freelance translator who has lived in the US for over two decades after growing up in Japan. Driven by a lifelong curiosity about global cultures, she majored in international relations at university. Today, she takes great pride in serving as a cultural bridge through her translation work. Beyond her profession and being a mother, she enjoys volunteering with local toddlers, sharing the joy of singing, dancing, and stories. On weekends, she loves playing board games with her family and exploring new places, always looking for life’s little discoveries!
